Triny Tolbert
Owner/Team Coach
Triny began ballet classes at the age of 3 and later added tap, jazz,
modern, lyrical, soft-shoe and pointe. Triny also participated in a
competitive dance troop with Denise’s Dance Academy in Stilwell, Kansas.
She started gymnastics at the age of 5 and continued until she was 16.
She was a competitive gymnast for Eagles Gymnastics & Dance Center and
started as an assistant coach for Eagles pre-team when she was 14. Triny
started coaching gymnastics in Olathe with Kansas Gymnastics Dance &
Cheer in 1998. She was the Level 6 coach until May of 1999 when she
relocated to Topeka to run the KGDC Topeka location. KGDC Topeka became
Capital Area Gymnastics in August of 2001 and Triny stepped in as part
owner, later becoming full owner. She and her husband Marc, both live
and work in Topeka and look forward to watching CAGE & TNT continue to
grow.
Michele Martin
Assistant Program Director/Team Coach
Michele Martin has been coaching gymnastics since 2001. Her experience
includes doing competitive gymnastics for 11 years, coaching for Chase
County Recreation Commission for a year and half and coaching at
Heartland Gymnastics for four years. She was also able to coach at an
elite gym called Leading Edge Gymnastics, near Seattle Washington, in
2005, while doing a personal training internship at the Personal
Training Team, Inc. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Human
Performance with an Emphasis in Health Promotion and Wellness and is now
a certified personal trainer. Michele has been coaching at CAGE since
June 2006.
Miriam Halstead
(Mo)
Pre-team Coach/Birthday Party Director/Pre-School Program Director
Mo and her family moved to Topeka from the Chicago area where she taught
at Flying High Gymnastics. Mo started teaching at CAGE in January of
2005. She currently teaches the HotShots pre-team class, a variety of
instructional classes and is the creative force behind our pre-school
room and the class kids meets. In addition, Mo sets up and instructs
most of the birthday parties held at CAGE. Her three children, Candyce,
Emily and Katelynn take classes and help Mo set up the Tot’s Room and
make decorations for our theme weeks.
DANCE
& CHEER
Lesleigh Terrill
Dance & Cheer Program Director
Lesleigh has studied a variety of dance styles while growing up in the
Kansas City area, with an emphasis on Jazz and Hip-Hop. Her dance
experience stretches across the board from training and competing,
to choreography, teaching, and more. She has taught and trained across
the country including New York and the East Coast. She has been a
choreographer for the nationally ranked RVHS dance team in Mount Holly,
NJ for 3 years leading them to top 3 placements at NDA nationals. Her
choreography has won several top honors including innovative
choreography with NDA and All-Star Grand Champions at COA Open Nationals
two years in a row. She is USASF certified in coaching basket tosses,
stunts and tumbling Levels 1-5. Lesleigh is also a member of the Koyote
Girls dance team, the official dance team of the Kansas Koyotes arena
football team. She founded Top Notch Talent in the Fall of 2004 and
merged with CAGE Gymnastics in the Fall of 2005 giving Topeka it's only
gymnastics, dance and cheerleading facility. Her teaching style is
encouraging, positive, and structured. She is constantly striving to be
on top of current dance and cheer trends and styles. When she is not at
the studio you can find her spending time with friends, family and her 3
pugs Harley, Chico and Elizabeth Taylor.
Stephanie
Auguste
Cheer Coach
Stephanie started coaching at TNT Dance & Cheer in 2006. She is a former
member of the competitive Dance City All-Stars (Lawrence, Kansas), which
is now known as the Spirit of Kansas. Stephanie is a former UCA All-Star
and former member of the Washburn University cheer squad, serving as
captain for two years. Stephanie is USASF certified in coaching basket
tosses, stunts and tumbling Levels 1-5.
She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Media with an emphasis in
Public Relations as well as a minor in Sociology from Washburn
University. Stephanie lives in Topeka with her husband and two children,
Darius and Sofia.
Heath Holloway
(Coach Heath)
Cheer Coach
Graduated from Chapman High School ('94)and attended Fort Hays State
University (94-99). It was there that he fell in love with the sport of
cheerleading and began working for NCA (National Cheerleaders
Association). Serving NCA for 6 Years he was hired in St. Louis at
Spirit Elite and Olympiad Gymnastics. Coach Heath went on to coach at
Saint Louis University for a season before moving back into the
gymnastics community. He worked for Paul Battaglia at World Class
Gymnastics (4 1/2 years) and then helped Paul start HI NRG Gymnastix
where Coach Heath continued to be the Cheer and Tumbling Director. Coach
Heath has also worked for Phyllis Newman (NDA Camp Manager and Wichita
State Alumni) at The Saint Louis Dancers Association where he taught
Acrobatics classes for 3 years.
"I am happy to be working at CAGE & TNT, and I plan on helping this gym
continue to be the premier Gymnastics, Dance, and Cheerleading facility
not only in Topeka, but in the State! Thank you for the opportunity to

Angie Best
Dance Instructor
Angie
started dancing at the age of 3 with Barbara’s Conservatory of Dance
where she trained in ballet, pas de deux, tap, jazz, modern and
liturgical. Angie is now a 3rd year member of the Washburn
University Dancing Blues and was also a member of the Kansas Koyote
Dancers last year. She has traveled with the Dancing Blues to Florida
where she competed with the team in Nationals. Angie teaches ballet,
tap, hip-hop, gymnastics and combo classes.
The CAGE
Gymnastics
staff is Safety Certified and professional members of USA Gymnastics.
The TNT Cheer
staff are credentialed with USASF and certified Levels 1-5 in tumbling,
stunts and tosses.
